Question by 1st world problem solver: Need suggestions on what car sound system to get?
I want to buy an Alpine sound system for my 2005 Mustang. The most I am willing to spend is $ 900 and I want something that will provide me a good overall balanced sound. I am trying to build one on Alpine.com but would like suggestions.
ok so you’re saying that i don’t really need new speakers, just a sub, amp, and headunit? what if my speakers are only very slightly blown on one side when i use too much bass? will the bass just come from the sub then if i got one? will i be ok without replacing the speakers?

Me and my friends always like to take our cars out and see whos sounds loudest from the outside. Besides like opening the trunk up theres nothing else I can really think of(don’t worry I live out in the country i’m not trying to wake anyone up). How can I make my subs more audible from the outside? I have a 99 camry

If your back seat folds down or if there’s an access panel/door from the back seat into the trunk, try opening it and rolling your windows down.

My bass is actually louder with the trunk closed -back seat down.

I have a Xbox 360, a Sony Bravia HD TV. I use the HDMI cable for my Xbox when playing video games. I was wondering if there is a surround sound system for this, with a subwoofer and everything. I looked on a couple websites and couldn’t find anything.

The volume isnt high enough to be thoroughly audible so this needs to be fixed. this is happening on my boats stereo system, and my friends surround sound system..
What do i do?

It seems to me that the surround sound unit is faultey and i would urge you to contact the brand or take it back to the place you got it from and get it replaced if you can.

It also might just be old and needs replacing.

Hi,
I have a small sailboat which I would like to install a sound system in. However, I can’t seem to find an amplifier. The speakers are two 25W marine speakers and the source is an iPod. I want the music to be about as loud as a boom box.. In other words, I need a very small amp that can run on little power but still deliver big sound.
P.S. I don’t have a whole ton of cash, so how can I do this cheaply?

Just get a small car stereo with an ipod dock function, and there you go. Doesn’t need to be a flash one, and you can get a sealed container mounting from most chanderies, so check your local auto super store, or electrical store, Kmart, boat shop etc. There is heaps of stuff out there.

I want to buy the Sony BDV-E780w blu-ray and surround sound system and have found it’s far cheaper to buy it from an American website even after shipping costs. I remember that old systems such as DVD players didn’t work universally but I wasn’t sure if modern systems such as this one would work with my TV and stuff.

what sort of venue do you have? how large because a sound system might end up costing as much as a dj would. most wedding venues have dj’s that work for around 350 to 500 dollars. plus, most venues have their own sound sytems already in place. you might have to pay a little extra to use it. but without knowing what sort of venue you having your wedding at, it is impossible to recommend a system.
