i have the speakers and theyre plugged in
and the speakers work and they turn on
but no sound comes out when i play something on my computer…

u need to go to sound properties and make sure nothing is muted and the volume is up … assuming u have the speakers plugged in ryt … also check device manager to see that the audio device is installed properly and if not download a driver and install it ..

I’ve never heard a PC sound system worth a damn no matter what speakers are connected to it. The problem with PC sound systems is always poor quality. Sound cards do only enough to make noise, not quality sound. That’s what a dedicated home theater is for. Logitech is all about hype. They sell tons of junk from China. I would never in a million yrs bother with Logitech brand speakers. I bought a crappy pair of Bose Media Mates years ago & they are adequate. For $ 82.99 your gonna get what you pay for. Don’t expect them to last very long. You’ll either toss them for lack of quality or ear fatigue. I realize you want a nice surround package, but lets take a better look at what your doing. No PC n this planet that I have ever seen can do the job of a decent well thought out designed surround system. No cinema that I have ever been too was assembled in one day from one box of goods. I treat my home cinema like a hobby & I have spent yrs making it on a shoe string budget. I buy what I can as funds allow it. My home cinema has a current insured value of about $ 8K USD. In quantity it’s not much, but in quality it’s all there. And not one damn thing is made in China. I’ve made it a point of that. Good day Sir!

I connect my laptop to AV RECEIVER/AMPLI-TUNER AUDIO-VIDEO it is ONKYO it has hdmi when i plug my hdmi the laptop display turned off my graphics card is G105M.

Hi there-
We would like to show a movie outdoors for about 100-200 people. Our big question is about speakers- we’d like them to be wireless so people aren’t tripping on them.
So, has anyone used two wireless speakers outside?
Could 200 people hear sound from them easily?
Or, can four wireless speakers run off the same transmitter?

Four speakers can be run off the same transmitter. I personally have never used them but I have installed the entire setup before. With four speakers I’d set them up in the corners of where you plan for most of the people to be sitting.

I have a 2005 Jetta GLI with a Pioneer Premier CD player, and am looking to upgrade the rest of the sound system. I’m not very impressed with the speakers in the car (maybe some of them are blown out?), and am also considering getting a sub/amp. I’ve seen a lot of used ones for sale on Craigslist, but need some advice on what to look for in terms of the sub, amp, connection cords, and speakers. Any advice you can offer would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Craigslist is a good place to start, for cheaper priced stereo equipment. Atleast you get to hear the system before you buy it. A few things to look for…1. check the gain on the amp. If it’s turned all the way up, it’s been played hard. Not a good thing. 2. Push lightly on the subs. If you hear scratching, DO NOT buy them. 3. Push on the subs one at a time, check for movement of the other sub. If it moves, it doesn’t have a divider in the box. You won’t get great bass response out of a box with no divider.
As far as speakers are concerned, go with a good name brand componet set ( polk, kicker, alpine). You can buy a good set for $ 150~ $ 175 new.
Choosing a sub depends on what kind of music you plan on listening to. For rap, I’d recomend a 12″ sub. It is a well rounded sub that will provide a wide range of bass.

I have a Logitech z-2300 2.1 sound system hooked up(headphone jack) to my dell inspiron. I am getting ready to purchase a panasonic 42 inch plasma tv and i am going to hook up my computer to it by running a dvi to hdmi cable from the laptop to the tv. Will the audio go through the tv or will it continue to play through my sound system? if the audio goes through the tv is there a way that i can hook up my sound system to that tv? or dont i have to get a dvd player and hook it up through there to the tv? I am trying to not spend more money than i have too and i would rather not buy a dvd player until i have enough money to get a blue ray dvd player, since my laptop plays the dvds. Thanks for any help you can give me!

The audio will continue to play through your sound system, DVI to HDMI cables do not carry the audio. If you would like to run audio from your computer to your TV you would have to use and audio out cable.
