My surround sound has a distance option and its in millimeters i believe and its in a small room, so what should the distance be high or low?

Ideally you want to be a third of the way from the front wall, next best would be two thirds of the way back. Set the distance at whatever the distance is from the speaker to your ear.

I have a Dell laptop, and it has a JBL sound system on it, there is a symbol on the left above the speakers on the keyboard side of the laptop.
Should this light up? It looks like it should, I am not sure if it does
It is a Dell XPS laptop, the model before the current model advertised on TV

Which Dell Laptop do you have? What does the symbol look like? Usually, there is no light for the speakers on laptops.

It depends on the truck, what is it?
It’s not so much the subs as it is the sound dynamics created by the configuration of the cab.

The mounts are both custom made for my ’94 Chevy Silverado 1500 Extended Cab, and both go under the rear seat, will there be a difference in performance and sound quality between the two?

Yes, there will be a difference in sound. For example, if you face the port for subs up in a cars trunk they won’t be as loud as if the port faced the rear of the trunk. I suggest getting the forward fire if you want sound quality and down fire if you want a little more spl kind of sound. It’s not going to make a HUGE difference, but a small one. Good luck!

Im gonna start put tin together a custom sound system in my 1992 honda accord. I would like to know what i should start with and watts and such. Also if anyone knows anygood brands let me know, ive been looking at kenwood for a receiver and i think im gonna get that. its 22 watt, 50 watt peak. its a 6 channel is this good.
ahh, i knew someone would say buy a new car, and i see where your coming from but i love this car and the boxy look it has plus ive already got a very nice paint job on it.

The conventional DVD appears to be losing ground to Blu-ray. I would suggest going with the Blu-ray just for that reason alone.

I will recommend between two wireless surround sound speakers that I have also recommend to a lot of other people in here.
The first one is the Yamaha NS. I believe it has everything you require, a 5.1 wireless surround sound and the sound in this wireless surround sound is just so good.
This wireless surround sound is just a great bang for the buck. Try watch Avatar 3D or big time movie, you will be amazed of the quality.
The second one is the Sony HT-SS370. Great sound quality, really good and they look so cool.
Both speakers are within your budget, but I will recommend you to check the links below out and see which one you feel is the best for you.
