For that system to work you need either optical or PCM out from the PC to work properly. The system cannot take discrete analog ins for sound. so if you go with analog you will be stuck with pro-logic. If you do have optical out on the PC you may have a settings or driver issue or bad cable. Please provide more details.

How can I connect my Samsung HDTV to my Samsung surround sound?

Question by JRO997: How can I connect my Samsung HDTV to my Samsung surround sound?
I just bought a 6 piece Samsung surround Sound system with the multi chanel receiver and I already have a HD cable box and PS3 connected to the TV via HDMI but can’t seem to get them all to work together. I followed the instructions which say to connect it all through the receiver and have 1 HDMI to the TV but that does not work. When I do that my cable doesn’t work and my PS3 doesn’t work. Do I need a different cable or something?

Answer by AndBackAt100
plug the PS3 and your cable box into the home theatre system (make sure your using HDMI inputs at this point)… and then connect your HTS to the TV using the HDMI out jack… you will have to turn on your HTS and turn it to the input you plugged the PS3 in when you want to use that and turn to the input you plugged the Cable box into when you want to use that…

Do Samsung Home Theater Systems have good sound quality?

Question by : Do Samsung Home Theater Systems have good sound quality?
I’m buying a theater system and just want to know if Samsung’s have good and crisp sound quality.

Answer by sparksy
Yes i have one and so does my brother and the sound is top quality with very deep bass I would highly recommend it.

Go jump off a cliff zippy speakers are classed as electrical items numpty, and as Samsung makes electronics I assume that also includes speakers how do think the sound comes out or do you believe there are tiny bands playing in the speakers. Get some facts before letting your fingers do the talking.

Where can I get a Samsung surround sound dvd player without the speakers?

Question by : Where can I get a Samsung surround sound dvd player without the speakers?
I purchased a Samsung surround sound system about 4 years ago and the dvd player that came with it does not work. I don’t want to have to get new speakers (since mine work perfectly fine) but I don’t want to spend 400 dollars on a bulky receiver. I basically just want a replacement of what I have now (except with blu ray). I do not need all the features of the big expensive ones. I just want a simple sleek one like I have now that has the ports that match the surround sound speaker wires that I currently have. The ports that kinda look like a ‘B’.

If your Samsung surround system has at least one s/pdif input port, then just buy any BD player, connect its s.pdif output to your Samsung system and you are done!

If not, there is not much you can do…

You connect an optical cable from the cable box or disc network to your home theater. Or you can connect it from the tv optical output to you home theater system. Your tv might have an audio output control, check your owners manual. All home theater in a box should work no matter what brand of tv you buy. Hope this will help you out.

Answer by Robert W
You can get s/s on everything connected to the tv if you run an a/v cable from the audio output of the tv to the audio input of the s/s. You can also do this with a digital cable if both dvd and tv have a digital port.

Once you do this, make sure the s/s is on tv/video and the tv will have s/s plus all the devices that you have connected to the tv
