panasonic SA-PT550 home theater surround sound system?

Question by : panasonic SA-PT550 home theater surround sound system?
I have a panasonic SA-PT550 home theater surround sound system and i was wondering if i could replace the speakers with any over brand like yamaha etc.rather than having to stick with my PANASONIC is that possible if so what speakers would you recommend by the way i have a 5.1 set

Best answer:

Answer by Lance
Its not advisable to change speakers on those HTIB systems they are not very flexible like regular home theater gear and usually the speakers are made to go with that particular amp only…the main problem is the impedance usually the impedance on those speakers is odd like 3.5 ohms or 3.7 ohms, so you need to find out what impedance they are before changing them out if they were 3.5 you could probably get away with 3 ohm or 4 ohm speakers but not much else, also you usually will not get much better sound either as the amp in those systems is limited in output and quality so even with new speakers will sound about the same with limited output…

Will Panasonic SC-HT56 surround sound work on a Vizio VW26L?

Question by eric c: Will Panasonic SC-HT56 surround sound work on a Vizio VW26L?
I have a Vizio VW26L and have been looking to get a blu ray player and surround sound system. I’ve been looking at the Panasonic SC-HT56 for the surround sound and was wondering if I am able to hook that up to my tv so I can watch tv, play my xbox 360 and watch dvd’s in surround sound.

Best answer:

Answer by Jeff
Sure. Hook everything up to the tv. Then run a digital optical cable from the output on the Vizio to the surround sound. Done.

Anything you play on the TV will be sent to the surround sound.

As side note unless your going for the wireless speaker aspect of this system you may want to look around at some Onkyo or Yamaha home theaters in a box systems. They will have more inputs and better configuration posibilites for around the same price.

3DO Game Boxes part 1
panasonic sound systems for homes

I recently had the opportunity to purchase a 3DO collection from a friend of mine. Normally, I would’ve passed, but after hearing about what he was including, I had to take it! When I took delivery of it, I was shocked. Boxes upon boxes of games and hardware. All of the game discs were individually placed in jewel cases in one box, the manuals and guides were beautifully stored in a plastic container, and the game boxes… well just look at them! It’s like a time capsule to gaming in 1993-1995. This is probably one of the most perfectly preserved collections I have ever seen for this system… and now it’s mine to continue.

Q&A: How can I connect my surround sound system to my Panasonic DMP-605 Blu Ray Player?

Question by : How can I connect my surround sound system to my Panasonic DMP-605 Blu Ray Player?
The instructions are for multiple blu ray players not just the DMP-605, and it lists how to connect 7.1ch, 5.1ch and 2ch surround sound. We have a 5.1ch speaker setup, but it doesn’t show how to connect it. It only shows how to connect a different model blu ray player. Please tell if you have any information.

Best answer:

Answer by Common Sensical
The instructions should be very similar for all blu-ray players, just hook up the HDMI cable and you’re done. Set the blu-ray to bitstream audio over HDMI, set your home theater system’s surround mode to auto, and everything should work fine.
