i would like to know what the best sound system to put in my explorer would be? speakers amps and head units and anything else i would need…names and what i should look for..or stay away from would be helpful….less than $ 2000 is what im lookin to spend.

wow man i dont know where to start.

I dont know what year explorer but if you go here and go to oufit my car then they can tell you the size of the replacement speakers in the door.

For the replacement speakers i would go with infiniti. They make the best speakers as far as for the highs(high frequency)

Amp and Subs
Go with two 15″ kicker L7 subs and Hifonics BXi-2006D amp.

Head unit

Get a pioneer. Anyone would be fine.

It seems like every car I look at, specifically the mazda 3 and mits lancer include a sun roof with the sound system option. The problem is I hate sunroofs. Is there a way that the dealer can just put the system in minus the sunroof? I live in Texas and the last thing I want on a sedan is another window for the sun to warm up my seat! Thanks for any help.

I know you can get the VW Jetta with a sound system and no sunroof. But even if you do end up getting a car with a sunroof, you can always slide the shade over and block the sun. Then you have it when there is a nice day.
