Yes i have one and so does my brother and the sound is top quality with very deep bass I would highly recommend it.

Go jump off a cliff zippy speakers are classed as electrical items numpty, and as Samsung makes electronics I assume that also includes speakers how do think the sound comes out or do you believe there are tiny bands playing in the speakers. Get some facts before letting your fingers do the talking.

this is an ad for a used laptop, u think its ligit and or good?

I have an acer gaming laptop for sale here. I have owned this laptop for about 11 months now. I originally bought it when I was a student so I enjoyed the mobility of a laptop. However, now that I have graduated I would like to build my own desktop-this is why I am selling this laptop.

On this laptop I regularly play world of warcraft, half-life 2 mods, and call of duty 4-on high settings. I know it plays other new games just fine but these are the only ones I really played. Laptop does not overheat.

Here are the specifications:
17″ Monitor-Crystalbrite display where you can clearly see the screen from any angle
Intel Core 2 duo T5550 @1.83 Ghz
2GB Ram
2 110GB hard drives for a total capacity of 220gb storage
CD&DVD reader and burner
Nvidia Geforce 8400M GS Video card
Windows Vista Home
Full keyboard (with numbers on the side and top of keyboard)
4 USB ports
Built in webcam
DVI , VGA, and S-video ports

The best part is that my monitor was flickering about a month ago so I sent it in and they replaced the monitor, motherboard, and video card. The laptop still looks like the day I bought it and has a 3 month warranty left in it. I have documentation of the replacement parts which were completed by the manufacturer.

I have taken excellent care of this system-I used to work at a computer repair shop where I learned how to do this. Computer will come completely reformatted so my data is no longer on the system and it will run like the first day I got it!
its listed for 500 but im only tryin to pay 400…..i found a basic compaq laptop at best buy for 400 and tryin to find somethin a little better for gaming

what are the best surround sound system brands based on reliability and product life?

ive been looking at this product, RCA RTD315W, and was wondering if its any good?

I would get the Samsung or Sony Home Theatre Systems they sell in a box at Best Buy or Wal-Mart !! They are 1,000 watts with a 5.1 and do 5 disc DVD upconverting to1080p and only about $ 230-275 in price… they aren’t the best quality but a good wuality and for the money you will highly enjoy it !!

The sound bar technology is always improving. If you are confined by space and this is one option or the systems like the Bose 3.2.1. works in a similar fashion. If you have the room however nothing really beats a full surround setup.

I understand that home theaters are not cheap, but I am not looking for the whole package. I just want to have some speakers for surround sound for my 13×13 room because my TV sound really is not great. Is there anything out there for under $ 50 that will do the job?

Once again, I am not looking for a DVD player or anything fancy, just some speakers that can be set up for surround sound.

There are no surround sound system in the $ 50 range. To have surround sound you need a home theater in a box or a receiver and speakers. The home theater in a box is less expensive and usually comes with a dvd or blu ray disc player as a package. They are not very flexible for adding other item to them. Receiver is the best choice, but you need speakers also. Tv programs that are in surround sound are decoded in Dolby digital and you need the decoder to decode the sound which you will get from a receiver and some home theater in a box. For soft ware dvd and blu ray are encoded with Dolby or DTS and you need the decoder. You can get a computer speaker but they don’t have a decoder.

What is your budget? There’s no way to answer this question without knowing how much you are willing to spend.

Update:
For that price range, you may be happier with a good 5.1 system. Most Blu-ray movies still aren’t recorded in 7.1 even though the capability is there. Plus with 7.1, you need to have a big enough room that your rear speakers are at least a few feet behind your listening position, or the effects won’t sound right. Doing a quick search I came up with this:

I don’t really know much about prices and dealers in the UK, so you might be able to find a better deal if you look around.

When looking for receivers, I’d recommend whatever you can find from Onkyo that’s in your price range (also try used or refurb). Anything from Denon, Yamaha, or Pioneer will also be good. Stay away from Bose (over priced and under performing), Sony (great TVs, horrible audio), or any of the small “home theater in a box” setups.

For speakers, try KEF, Mordaunt Short, or American brands like B&W, JBL, Infinity or Canadian brands like Paradigm or PSB (I don’t know what you’ll be able to find in the UK).

Try to spend a little more than half of your budget on the speakers.
