Vizio Surround Sound System

i have a RCA surround sound system and a VIZIO 32″ T.V. What cords do i need to connect my surround sound?

Question by freaky fruit: i have a RCA surround sound system and a VIZIO 32″ T.V. What cords do i need to connect my surround sound?
i am looking for the cords(s) that runs from the receiver to the television. i found the owners manual and it has a coaxial digital wire labeled. Is that it? If so is it a wire with 4 total plug ins (2 on each side) and are color coded?

Your RCA surround sound system will have either an HDMI or component cable output. HDMI cable carries the video and audio, while the component only video and you will need am optical audio cable for the audio. Some home theater in a box are not flexible for other connection to the system. If you have an optical audio input then you are in shape. Your tv should have an optical audio output. Check the owners manual of your rca surround sound for the proper connection. Hope this will help you out.

Q&A: How can you hook a surround sound system up to a Vizio VW26L-26″ HDTV TV?

Question by Rob G: How can you hook a surround sound system up to a Vizio VW26L-26″ HDTV TV?
My friend just won a Vizio VW26L-26″ HDTV TV in a prize drawing and a surround sound system came with it. Now I tried for several hours to hook it up to the tv however did not succeed in getting the tv to have surround sound but the dvd player worked with it. I browsed the internet for ways to hook it up and found little help. Does anyone know a way to hook up the system to the tv so that we can watch tv with surround sound?
