ve recently bought a 42″ 1080p tv and im looking about buying a 5.1 surround sound system,i was just wondering what i needed?i have a ps3 so i dont need a blu ray player.do i need a reciever?and if so i want 1 with a hdmi connection and a digital optical connection?i was also wondering how i would connect the surround sound too the ps3 to the surround sound if my tv only has 1 digital optical in>?
where is the best place too buy a home theater system with the reciever,i live in ireland,im working on a budget because the tv was expensive so price is €150 to €200 maybe a little more

I’m not sure where to get it but….
Basically, if its a new HDTV, it will have HDMI Inputs. So you should buy a 5.1 channel receiver & gradually build up the speakers as you can afford them.
Make sure that the receiver has HDMI Inputs, then you can plug your PS3 into that via the HDMI, then plug your receiver into your TV, also via HDMI.
HDMI runs both HD Video & Full Audio- so there would be no need to worry about the digital audio in.
