Question by Ellen: Is the Bose surround sound system stereo compatible with other speakers?
I am thinking of buying the Bose Lifestyle V30 system, but I have speakers from other companies throughout my home. Will they still be compatible with the stereo system that the Bose comes with?

Probably not. Unfortunately, my experience with Bose is that they tend to use proprietary cables that are incompatible with third party speakers.
