Question by rasgloria: How do l soundproof the Ist floor, 2nd floor was used as assembly for parties with loud sound systems n noise?
The sound upstair is annoying, and i could not hardly rest, the upper floor is concrete with carpet floor coverings and i had a gypsum ceiling below. the sound still is audible especially at night.
What soundproofing do i need or how do i install it, i m willing to redo the ceiling if necessary. just to get rid of this sound.

fiberglass insulation works as a good sound barrier.
