Music Review: Ian Anderson – Thick As a Brick 2 – Special Edition
It sounds like Jethro Tull of old. Along with Surround Sound audio versions that I don't have the equipment to listen to, the Special Edition's DVD disc includes some low-key interviews and studio recording footage, during which Anderson notes that he …

My RCA surround sound only the subwoofer and 1 small speaker works, the other 3 small ones dont, what’s wrong?

Question by : My RCA surround sound only the subwoofer and 1 small speaker works, the other 3 small ones dont, what’s wrong?
I just recently bought a surround sound system from RCA and it included 4 small surround sound speakers and one large subwoofer. The subwoofer and 1 of the small speakers works, but the others just have a very quiet fuzzy noise coming out of them and I don’t know what’s wrong and why they aren’t working.

When you set up the s/s there is a set up test that you do to see if the speakers are working. You also program in the distance that they are set at.
Once you do the test, and you hear the results, You should be hooked up correctly. If not, go to the troubleshooting section
On your s/s you have a function button on the remote. This gives you Dolby, 5.1, 2 channel and so on. Toggle thru and listen. Not all speakers work all the time in some of the modes

Q&A: Surround sound systems for small apartments?

Question by JarJar Binks: Surround sound systems for small apartments?
I have a one bedreeom basement apartment. I have a nice big flat screen TV. right now I own a bulky surround sound system that takes up too much room and might be too loud for my apartment. I’ve been considering buying a soundbar system for my apartment. A soundbar is a long sleek bar where all the speakers are together. It’s small and I’m sure it’s not quite as good as having true surround sound. Any suggestions?

I would get some kind of wireless headphones with surround sound built in. Or, if thats not a good choice for you, buy a 5.1 system that is below- i’d say- 500w total peak power. At Bestbuy’s website, there’s a good system. It’s insignia and on the cheap side. Or, depending on your budget, the Klipsch is a decent choice

Overall, try and keep it below or around 500w. I would go with a 5.1 because it sounds like a small room, and there’s a range between 100 to 900 dollars you can spend.
