How to connect a Samsung HTZ310T surround sound system to a TV and Xbox 360?

Question by curious: How to connect a Samsung HTZ310T surround sound system to a TV and Xbox 360?
The TV is an older ilo one, doesn’t have a flat screen. I’m trying to get all three devices connected so i can play video games and hear the sound on the surround sound. It was successfully installed previously, on a different TV, and now that I”m trying to reinstall it it doesn’t work and I keep getting a “rear check” error message. None of the speakers are wireless. Any help appreciated ;)

Connect component cables from sound system and Xbox to TV for video then optical cable from Xbox to sound system for audio.

It is not possible to recommend any wireless surround system at all.

All wireless systems, regardless of price, suffer from drop out, distortion and static, caused by fridges, fluorescent tubes, passing taxis, mobile phones and even people just walking around the room.

If you actually want to enjoy your movies, you will need a system which connects to the speakers with wires.
