Try obtaining your audio driver from Windows update. If Windows Update does not find a driver for your audio card, then you will need to go to your PC manufacturer’s website to download an audio driver.

Most PC’s use a stereo mini phone jack (mini, also known as 1/8″ or 3.5mm). So you need a breakout cable that has a stereo mini plug on one end, and separate red/white RCA plugs (also known as phono) on the other end.

Jacks are female, plugs are male, You need the cable to have males at both ends. Radio Shack will have what you need, but very likely so does Best Buy or Walmart. It should cost under $ 5 even for a 6′, so don’t let anyone talk you into those stupid gold-plated, corrosion-resistant, frequency-tuned, IEEE rated, blah blah expensive ones. They don’t do a thing except cost more.

No Multimedia sound system? – Dragon Naturally Speaking Program?

Question by Elliot: No Multimedia sound system? – Dragon Naturally Speaking Program?
“Audio Setup wizard cannot find the sound system. Try checking if there is a Multimedia sound system on your system.”

I just bought a brand new premium Mic for this and it will not work. I have tried everything I can but this is the problem I keep running into. My laptop is pretty new and it has a sound system so I do not know what the problem is.

Thanks.

You need to download drivers for your sound system. Google “Download Drivers” followed by your sound card’s name which can be found in the Device Manager.
