Question by Mike P: help me figure out what to buy for my sound system?
I have a Mackie mixer with 1/4″ outputs. From there I need an amp, which would need 1/4″ inputs. Out of the amp a banana plug would do. I also need speakers which need to have 1/4″ inputs.
What type of amp do i need?
How many watts?
Whats the cheapest I can go for the amp / speakers?
Where can I get some good speakers?

Mike – It sounds like you have the cables right.
The speakers you need and the watts is really up to what you are trying to do and your budget.
You need a professional stereo amplifier and two speakers or maybe two powered speakers. Powered speakers are more expensive but they have the amps built in.
