Question by Danny: Memphis sound system or Kicker sound system? Stuck inbetween.?
This will be my first sound system. I am putting it in a 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I am stuck between 2 brands of subs/amps. Memphis and Kicker. I have heard great things about kicker and know there good stuff. I havnt really heard much about memphis and was wondering how they are? I like their design and looks of the orange ones, (I think there called mojos). I am looking in the range of 2 12 inch subs or 1 15 inch sub. If anyone with knowledge of these brands could give me some input, it would be greatly appreciated. Also I would like to know the difference between getting 2 12s or 1 15, like what would the sound difference be?

Honestly, they are both great brands to choose from. Memphis is a bit more pricy but you get what you pay for. Myself I have had 3 different sets of Kicker 12′s in my Tahoe and I had problems with all of them and when I asked the audio shop why the guy told me the cable from the magnet to the speaker isnt made long enough so after awhile from the bass it eventually gets disconnected, but that was just my experience. But all in all, either one is a great choice. Personally I love my 2 Rockford Fosgate P3′s you might want to check those out as well.
