Question by Jess: I have a JVC surround sound system and when the volume is too loud, the speakers shut off.?
I have to completely shut off the system and start the movie all over again for them to start working again. Why is it doing this!?!?! Could the speakers be too close to the reciever? Please help!

Hard to say why, but I’m guessing the speakers impedance is dropping off & the amp cannot handle it so it over heats or spikes to protect itself. This is common in these home theater in a box sets. The quality just isn’t there. The speakers or the amp are of such mediocre quality that they are usually constructed from last years parts surplus from the lowest over seas bidder. Flip it over & see where it was made & that will tell you a lot right there. That is why my entire amp & speaker system is made from American companies. I know what I have & what it can do.
