Question by : Need help finding home stereo systems?
I know there are a lot of home stereo systems in the market today and you get a paradox of choice when choosing between all of these home stereo systems. So I was hoping that some of you experts could help me find home stereo systems that is a good buy.
My only requirement for the home stereo systems is that it consists of min 4 speakers as I want somekind of surround sound.
So what home stereo systems would you expert suggest?

I’m no expert, but I have lots of opinions about that. I would suggest you find a decent used Yamaha RX-V663 receiver. It’s a basic hi-def receiver w/ 2 HDMI inputs for high resolution video. It can also decode the hi-def discrete audio from a Blu-ray disc. Then look for a Definitive Technology 5.1 speaker system. One of my fav web sites to find used gear is Audiogon.com. Lots of people have put up their older audio processors for sale there because of the latest upgrades in hi-def surround. And I mean it’s good stuff too. What sold for thousands a few yrs ago is now for sale at 1/10 the price. Most of what’s sold there is top shelf quality from lots of makers you never heard of. Good luck.
