I have a 1998 4-door Ford Explorer with factory audio. I would like to upgrade but i have no idea where to start or how to since i know nothing about cars! i was looking at some packages from Alpine but again, i really don’t know. help?

I have always done well with Pioneer head units.For amps and subs audioque is a great product for a good price

My speakers in my car blew so Im gonna buy a whole new sound system. I was thinking about going big with a subwoofer and the whole package but I dont know much about this kind of stuff.

Can someone tell me whats a good set up for a new car sound system?

My car is a 2000 Nissan Maxima if that makes a difference.

I remember when I thought the same thing. Car audio is a HUGE industry and there is TONS of science about it. But I’ll get right to the basic point. If cash is no issue, go Jl audio all the way. Really look into them. I own my own car audio shop. And if u want to waste your money then go buy a piece from wallmart. But if ur not messin around it’s Jl. Jl audio is a sq (sound quality) compAny. Not nessisarly just SPL woofers. SPL woofer just are power hogs, some are good and they will play any distortion u throw at it. I have a Jl 13w7. And I run box making softwear and I can hit 120db at 45hz!!!! My top fuel drag boat idles at 87db. Jl’s are not only the best but they were the first making the best and there stuff is soooo sensitive, you I drive my two 12″ w3v3s with a SINGLE 200 watt jbl amp and my 13w7 with the Jl 1000/1 and I have broken spot welds in my full-size SUV. but with jl’s u can’t run shitty stuff. It alllllll has to be high end. That’s the only down fall. I run all class A zero (0) ohm stable shit. NEVER MESS WITH SONY XPLODES. THEY BLOW OUT THE ASS.
