Question by Rona: Do I need a 3D Surround sound system/Sound bar for my 3D TV?
I own a 3D TV, and was told I need a 3D compatible sound system, and should not purchase a regular one (not even the newer versions) unless it says 3D compatible. Is this true?
Someone else said 3D surround sound only means the sound will bounce on different walls, and that having the sound system say 3D compatible on it means nothing.

Sound has no 3D effects. 3D is only for the movie picture. So if you find any sound system that says 3D compatible it really makes no sense. To decide whether you need a surround sound system please first check the movies you play on your 3D TV to see if they have the Dolby Digital or DTS surround sound. If the movies have only stereo audio then a surround sound system is definitely not necessary. The Blu-ray 3D movies all have surround audio. If you watch this kind of movie then a surround sound system is needed. It can give you very exciting sound experience.
